It is also known as Changu Lake is a glacial lake in Sikkim, located at an altitude of 12,400 ft. The word ‘Tsomgo’ means ‘source of water’ and is located 40 kms from the Gangtok town. The lake remains frozen during the winter season and derives its water from the melting snows of surrounding mountains. Rides on colorfully decorated yaks are available at the lake site and Tsongo passenger ropeway is another attraction here.
